According to a midlevel associate, “The firm is currently seeking superstar-type candidates. It is a buyer's market for legal talent and I understand the firm is only extending offers to top-tier candidates.”  But candidates should be more than just great on paper.  An insider notes, “I believe the firm is looking for candidates with strong grades, from a competitive law school, who bring interesting and diverse life experience to the table.  The firm likes to hire intelligent, individuals who can work independently. Candidates that are comfortable in social settings such as golf outings, banquets, and cocktail receptions are also favored since they generally interact well with clients.”  Introverts need not apply.
